Anthony Joshua is sensationally looking to LEAVE Sky Sports and join rivals DAZN in a money-grabbing deal ahead of Usyk rematch

ANTHONY JOSHUA is on the verge of parting ways with Sky Sports and signing a mega-money deal with streaming app DAZN.

The 32-year-old former world heavyweight champion has been with the networks throughout his pro career.

However, that contract expired after September’s defeat to 35-year-old Ukrainian genius Oleksandr Usyk in September.

SunSport understands he’s been the subject of a bidding war since then.

In 2021, London-based DAZN poached Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn from Sky with a £100m war chest.

But Joshua’s British rights were not part of that package.

However, DAZN also shows it elsewhere in the world.

But Sky seemed on course to re-sign with the familiar name.

Watford’s AJ signed a lifetime deal with Matchroom a week before losing his WBA, IBF and WBO titles by points to Usyk last year.

And the rematch in Saudi Arabia, scheduled for August, will be his first of his next potential deals.

A loss for Joshua will severely damage his brand and reputation and put him far from the world title.

But a comeback win will re-establish him as one of the biggest names in global esports and be a huge coup for DAZN.

Sky Sports were front runners to secure his signature again until a couple of weeks ago, when DAZN felt the race was lost.

But a sudden reversal has now put Len Blavatnik’s own app in the driver’s seat, and an announcement could come as soon as next week.
