Anthony Elanga gears up for championship loan spell with Man Utd interested in teen prospect playing weekly first-team football

MANCHESTER UNITED are ready to loan Swedish star Anthony Elanga to the Championship.
Elanga, 19 years old, signed a new contract at Old Trafford after being in the spotlight but now his bosses want to see him in the ‘man’s game’ every week.
United have players before Elanga just now but put a lot of hope in the future speed man.
His new contract keeps him at the club until 2026 so there’s plenty of time to develop.
Elanga has played just six games for the Red Devils, but scored against Wolves in the final game of last season.
And he made his Champions League debut in draw with Young Boys in early December.
Elanga has represented Sweden at youth level but has yet to make a full international appearance.
Meanwhile, midfielder James Garner is due to negotiate a contract. He is on loan at Nottingham Forest but is keen to find out his place in United’s plans.

The Red Devils will also decide where to send generous man Amad Diallo on loan. He’s been fanned by several championships, including Wayne Rooney’s Derby.
SunSport exclusively revealed this week that Ruben Neves is a prime target for the Old Trafford club.
Man Utd are said to have prepared an offer of £35m for Neves but Wolves want at least £40m.
