ANNE Heche’s tearful ex-husband posted a heartbreaking tribute, vowing to take care of their son Homer.
Heche’s life support machine was turned off on Sunday – two days after she was pronounced brain dead after her high-speed car crash.
Her ex-husband Coleman Laffoon said, “After Anne’s death, I just wanted to say a few things: One thing, I love her and I miss her, and I always will.”
Laffoon vowed to look after 20-year-old Homer and said he’ll be fine.
Ohio real estate consultant Laffoon married 53-year-old Heche in 2001 before they divorced in 2009. Their son Homer was born in 2002.
Heche’s life support machine was shut down on Sunday after it was reported that a match for her organs had been found.
A rep for the actress told TMZ: “Anne Heche was peacefully taken off life support.
“It has long been her decision to donate her organs and she is being kept alive to determine if any are viable.”
Heche’s family told PEOPLE that she was a “bright, kind and cheerful soul.”
They added: “Anne will be greatly missed but she lives on through her beautiful sons, iconic work and passionate advocacy.
