Angry Tottenham fans are urging Antonio Conte to leave after ‘shameful and embarrassing’ 2-1 defeat by Newcastle

TOTTENHAM fans were less than impressed with the team’s performance in the 2-1 defeat by Newcastle.

Goals from Callum Wilson and Miguel Almiron were enough to see Toon leave London with all three points, passing both Manchester United and Chelsea to finish in the top four.

They also edged Antonio Conte’s side to just two points.

And the club’s recent poor form has seen fans take aim at the Italian.

One fan said online: “I think it’s high time @SpursOfficial Conte was sacked. This man is a total disgrace. How can we lose two games in a row. #CONTEOUT

A second user said: “Conte is a disgrace. We have some of the best football players in the world and he challenges them to play like Burnley. Play to win you bastard.”

Another angry fan said: “Shame and a joke! Very poor and what was the money spent on, NOTHING we needed. Chasing the game and Conte brings Doh and Dav, really. Spence and Gil certainly.

“What a joke we are these days. Not good enough @SpursOfficial Conte needs to wake up the F!!!”

In response to the club’s official post-game tweet, one user simply said: “Shame.”

Another demanded: “Get Conte out tonight.”

“Once again embarrassed by Conte,” remarked a third.

Despite a strong start to the season, the north Londoners have now lost three of their last five league games.
