MANCHESTER CITY fans went berserk as referee Daniele Orsato ended their Champions League final ten seconds early.
The Premier League champions thought they had enough time to launch one last attack desperate to keep their European dream alive.
But the official Orsato had other ideas when he fired into the supposed three minutes of added time after two minutes and 50 seconds.
In reality, the ten seconds remaining might not have made much of a difference, but City fans – who were already convinced more time should have been added due to Madrid’s wasted time – felt differently as they slammed online.
One tweeted: “Eh??? 10 seconds early? This referee is actually a joke.”
Another wrote: “Heartbreaking stuff. The referee corrected the game 100%.
One added: “This referee is a disgrace. I truly believe this game has been fixed.”
Another wrote: “I’m not a City fan BUT this is a joke. This referee is paid. Biggest fix I’ve ever seen!”
City boss Pep Guardiola was furious after only three extra minutes were shown despite several stoppages.
And the fans could have been forgiven for not wanting the referee to end the game after two thrilling semi-finals.

First, City exited the Etihad with a 4-3 win in the first leg and traveled to the Spanish capital with a slender advantage.
And after Riyad Mahrez opened the scoring in the 73rd minute, it looked like they were well on their way to a back-to-back finals.
Club record £100m Jack Grealish then had one of the lines saved and another by keeper Thibaut Courtois.
By the time the game went into the 90th minute, even the most staunch Real fans would have lost hope.
But luckily for them, super-sub Rodrygo didn’t have to as he amazingly scored twice in as many minutes to put it into extra time.
More drama was to follow when Ruben Dias brought down Karim Benzema in the box and the Frenchman converted the resulting penalty.
For the first time, the LaLiga champions led in the semi-finals and saw the game despite late pressure.
It’s been a heartbreak for City, whose wait for an elusive Champions League trophy continues.
But it was one big cheer for Real as they witnessed another impressive European comeback.
