Andrew Tate shares a cryptic tweet hours after being released from prison as he is placed under house arrest on ‘human trafficking’ charges

ANDREW Tate shared a cryptic tweet tonight after being released from prison and placed under house arrest in Romania.

Former kickboxer Tate, 36, and his brother Tristan, 34, had been held behind bars for three months as part of an investigation into allegations of human trafficking and rape.

On Friday, the brothers and their two alleged accomplices – Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu – won an appeal to have their detention replaced with house arrest.

Ramona Bolla, a spokeswoman for Romania’s anti-organized crime agency, said all four would now remain under house arrest until April 29.

They have been ordered to stay in the buildings they live in – unless they have court permission to leave.

And in a quick message hours after arriving home, Tate tweeted a cryptic smiley face to his 5.5million followers.

He later tweeted, “God is great.”

The Tate brothers were swarmed by a crowd of supporters as they exited Romania’s ‘Hell Hole’ prison.

Leaving a translator to take care of the media circus, the pair maintained a solemn silence before boarding a car.

Tate – with a thick, unkempt beard, beads around his neck and a black T-shirt – watched as cameras were held in his face.

Tristan even managed to get a few laughs from the crowd after revealing what he plans to do with his evening in Romania.

Since their arrest on December 29, the two have been fighting for their release.

They had been in and out of court while his legal team fought the warrant and the extension of his sentence.

A spokesman for the Tate brothers said: “We are pleased to announce that the Romanian judicial system has approved Andrew and Tristan Tate’s appeal against last week’s extension decision.

“You will be placed under house arrest while the investigation continues.

“We are grateful to the judge and courts for allowing the brothers to return home.”

Tate’s team previously claimed he needed to be released from prison to see his doctor in Dubai.

The brothers were held in a Romanian prison for more than 10 weeks on allegations of human trafficking, organized crime and rape.

They are accused of soliciting women on social media platforms and persuading them to travel to their £600,000 mansion on the outskirts of the Romanian capital.

The brothers would allegedly falsely claim to be in love with the young women before allowing them to engage in sexual acts in front of webcams.

They deny all allegations against her and no charges have yet been filed.

Tate has repeatedly claimed that Romanian prosecutors have no evidence.

The misogynistic influencer Tate built an image that appealed to teenagers and created an online empire that made him one of the most searched people on Google.

Much of the content masquerading as lifestyle advice is considered highly sexist and viewed as promoting violence against women.

His influence has spread worryingly among young men and boys, with one UK MP saying he is “brainwashing” children.

Tate first rose to fame after a short-lived appearance on Big Brother.
