According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca have won the race for Christensen’s signature.
The Denmark international is due to sign a contract until the summer of 2027 and has already started looking for a place to live in the city.
Christensen has instructed his Barca-based agents to conduct the search and offer him suggestions once the season with Chelsea is over.
The report went on to say that the defender has shown no preference for where he wants to live.
Options near Barca Ciutat Esportiva training grounds, on the beach or in the city itself.
Current Barca players are spread across the three scenarios.
Christensen may not be the only Chelsea defender to land on the north east coast of Spain.
Blues club captain Cesar Azpilicueta and left-back Marcos Alonso are also being pursued by Barca.

Both have contracts with the West London club until the summer of 2023.
But both want to make the transfers, according to another report by Mundo Deportivo.
Azpilicueta has plenty of experience, leadership and versatility down the line – although Xavi is likely to want him at centre-back.
Alonso, meanwhile, would rival the currently undisputed Jordi Alba at left-back.
