Andrea Vazquez missing updates – A Whittier woman’s phone has been traced to a spooky location after she was ‘kidnapped from the car’

Police are searching for 19-year-old Andrea Vazquez after she was reportedly kidnapped in a shooting this weekend.
Andrea was last seen at Penn Park in her Los Angeles County town of Whittier after midnight Sunday morning.
The Whittier Police Department said Andrea was in a car with her boyfriend when the shooting took place and said in a statement: “An adult male witness reported that an armed suspect approached their vehicle and fired a shot while he was driving with an adult female companion in the park, gun was pointed in her direction.
According to reports, the witness fled before the shots were fired and later returned. He found blood near his vehicle and Andrea was nowhere to be found.
Andrea’s family told the local CBS affiliate KCAL that they are desperate for their safe return, and her older sister revealed that she has located Andrea’s phone to Moreno Valley – which is about an hour outside of Whittier.
There is currently no suspect description for the reported shooter, and police are asking anyone with information to call investigators at (562) 567-9255.

Andrea’s phone was located in a spooky place
Andrea’s family told the local CBS affiliate KCAL that they are desperate for their safe return, and her older sister Edlyn revealed that she had tracked Andrea’s phone to Moreno Valley.
“When I got to that location that evening, the police were called,” Edlyn said.
“They had drones, they had dogs, they had a lot of people searching this area. But we don’t really know much more.”
Moreno Valley is about an hour outside of Whittier.

The family is desperate
Andrea’s family told the local CBS affiliate KCAL that they desperately hope for their safe return.
“It’s a pain nobody deserves,” Andrea’s mother Anna told the outlet.
“She was my everything.”

Andrea has tattoos
Andrea Vazquez has a tattoo of Edlyn, her sister’s name, on her neck.
She also has the Aries constellation at the top of her right hand.
Andrea also has a navel piercing.

Andrea’s description revealed
Police have identified the missing woman as 19-year-old Andrea Vazquez, who resides in Los Angeles County.
Andrea is described as a Hispanic woman, 1.60 m tall, weighing 50 kg, with brownish-red hair and brown eyes.
She was last spotted in a black long sleeve crop top, khaki pants and black low top Converse shoes.

The Whittier Police Department released a statement urging the public to help find Andrea: “We are investigating a reported shooting and kidnapping incident that occurred just after midnight on 08/20/23 in the parking lot area of Penn Park, 13950 , occurred.” Penn Street in Whittier.
“An adult male witness reported that while in the park with an adult female companion, an armed suspect approached their vehicle and fired a gun in their direction.
“The male witness fled the scene and returned to find blood near his vehicle and his female companion missing.
“Investigators are actively working on this investigation and are following up any leads.”
