CARLO ANCELOTTI has come under fire after beating Real Madrid 4-0 in El Clasico.
Legendary Galactico Guti has slammed the Bernabeu manager for not changing things as his side were hammered by Barcelona on Sunday.
With an array of talent waiting in the wings, Ancelotti’s lack of attacking substitutions left the former midfielder stunned.
Despite trailing 2-0 at half-time on goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ronald Araujo, Ancelotti’s only move was to bring in striker Mariano – who has not played for Madrid this year.
Speaking of El Chiringuto Guti said: “I’m Ancelotti and I look at the bench and I have Hazard, Jovic, [Gareth] Bale, Isco… And you’re telling me I can’t tell any of them? What’s happening? I lose myself.
“I’m watching the Barcelona game and I see the Real Madrid bench and I find out that in the second half Madrid’s first substitution is Mariano… How can that be? Are Bale and Hazard absent? Madrid’s first offensive change Mariano, who hasn’t played this year?”
Ancelotti later confirmed Bale missed the game through illness, although he could still be fit for Thursday’s World Cup qualifier between Wales and Austria.
Guti also singled out Vinicius Jr. for further criticism, saying, “He cares more about the referee and the rivals than playing the football.”
While Barcelona may have beaten Madrid in El Clasico, Ancelotti’s side remain in pole position to complete a Champions League-La Liga double.
After a historic comeback against PSG, Madrid have played against Chelsea in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Real could then compete against local rivals Atlético or Manchester City for a place in the final in Paris.
Still, there seems to be unrest in Los Blancos’ squad with several players being linked with the summer exit.
Talk about said Guti: “A big team that wants to fight for the European Cup, for the league and for the Copa del Rey can’t get along with 14 players. What’s happening here?”
