In her video, Amy appeared to be in her pajamas and looked exhausted.
She said: “Do three year olds have a sleep regression I don’t know about?
This kid won’t go to sleep. I’ve tried lullabies, warm milk, I’ve tried cuddling with Mommy, I’ve tried praying – obviously Bible stories, we do that every night.
I’ve got lullabies on right now – it doesn’t help. As if nothing would help. All right, I know people are like this, turn off the lights Amy!

The light has been out for two hours. This was an ongoing thing. Finally, I turned on the light as if “your energy had run out”.
Send help or send a really big coffee in the morning.
Amy later posted a photo of Daxton sleeping in bed.
She said: “He went to bed at 2:00 am. Pray for me today.”

Fans were already worried about Amy’s son when she previously shared that Daxton “throws butter knives.”
In one clip, she said: “My little fella has so much balance it’s crazy so no. He was good on the stool, I promise you that. Second, butter knives annoy him. He throws them. It’s not a real knife, and he throws it.”
Amy giggled in the video and fans weren’t happy with her reaction.
One fan posted online: “When she says he throws butter knives and safety knives because he thinks they aren’t real.”
Another shared: “The whole point of safety knives is to learn how to use them safely and train the child to eventually use real knives when they are of an appropriate age. If they are abused, pointed at, or thrown at other people or pets, they must be removed until the child is ready to try again.”
Another commented: “Why isn’t she concerned? How does a child develop such an interest? He’s a brand new three-year-old.”
KITCHEN REVIEW
The drama began with another video Amy posted in the fall.
She filmed her son slicing apples with a sharp knife while standing on a stool to get to the counter.
Throughout the clip, Daxton’s fingers were nowhere near the blade and Amy encouraged him from close range.
He looked pleased with himself as he ate pieces of apple that he had cut into bite-sized pieces.
Amy captioned the clip: “3 years old ladies and gentlemen! I’m sure I’ll be shamed for this video, but he cut his own apples, poured his own milk, used glass tumblers and took dishes from the sink.”
Amy went on to say that Daxton cooks bacon with his father and regularly learns new cooking skills.
She added: “I’m just so proud of him! He’s growing up before my eyes. We taught him that knives are only to be used with mom and dad and he is very careful.”
Duggar fans have been divided on whether or not the toddler’s use of a knife is safe and appropriate.
One wrote: “The problem is that the children remain supervised. Let’s say today Amy decided to take a shower while the kid is watching Paw Patrol, he decides she wants a snack and goes to cut an apple herself. No supervision.”
Another commented, “I’m all for kids learning these skills, but there are safer knives meant for kids.”

Someone else wrote: “In the video the kid is jumping on the stool while holding the knife and she doesn’t do anything to correct it. The knife is way too big for his tiny hand and he can’t grip it properly. A serious accident could have happened in a fraction of a second.”
One fan replied: “This is one of those situations where I scratch my head and wonder if we’re watching two different videos. The kid didn’t bounce around, it was corrected when moving away from the cut plane. and then the knife was immediately taken from him when he became unsure.”
