Americans can get one-time direct payment between $300 and $1,289 from cancelled event settlement – exact steps to apply

A canceled football game can result in a big win thanks to a massive class action lawsuit.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame agreed to settle a lawsuit alleging it canceled the 2016 annual Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio without providing ticketholders with the required refund.

The Hall of Fame claimed they had to cancel the game due to poor field conditions.
However, the lawsuit alleged that the cancellation constituted a breach of contract.
While the Hall of Fame denies any wrongdoing, it has agreed to pay varying amounts to qualifying recipients to resolve the litigation.
The settlement provides up to $250 to cover the ticket price.

In addition, many other additional costs are covered.
Applicants may also claim travel expenses of up to US$600 and hotel expenses of up to US$289 per night.
You can also recover up to $100 in transportation, mileage reimbursement of up to 54 cents per mile driven, and parking of up to $50 per car.
That means the maximum payment is $1,289 for a game visitor who stayed a night in Canton, not including the wildly fluctuating mileage reimbursement.
Those who stayed longer and drove often could get a higher salary.
Eligible Beneficiaries who have not documented all of these charges may still claim the face value of their ticket plus $300 to cover charges.
Since payments vary widely by claimant, there is no set pot amount to compare.
To be considered, recipients must submit a valid application form by October 9th.

The final hearing on the case is scheduled for November 17.

SSI recipients will receive their September check on Friday, September 1st.
Monthly payments are a maximum of $914 for individuals, excluding government surcharges.
Since October 1st falls on a Sunday, SSI will be shipped again on Friday September 29th.
However, recipients will have to wait until November 1st to be paid out again.
