FANS have criticized American Idol judge Luke Bryan for revealing spoilers before a pivotal moment aired.

After an extended three-hour finale, Luke, 45, announced the winner of the final three contestants: Megan Danielle, 21, Colin Stough, 18, and William “Iam” Tongi.

The ABC star congratulated Iam and captioned the post, “He’s our @americanidol 2023.”

Unfortunately, viewers in the comments section criticized the country singer for announcing the much-anticipated moment before the talent contest show aired on the West Coast.

One critic ranted: “West Coast is still watching. Thanks for screwing it up.”

A second critic added, “I probably should have stayed off social media.”

A third reviewer remarked: “Look! So don’t go on social media until it’s over! Laugh a lot!”

A fourth person chimed in: “Wish you’d waited a while to post. We taped it and didn’t get to see it in full tonight.”

‘WRITTEN IN THE STARS’

Before the season 21 finale aired, the popular talent show previewed Iam’s homecoming performance in Hawaii.

In the short video, Tongi performed on stage in front of a packed audience.

The singer played his guitar while wearing a lei, also known as a lei, which is given away in Hawaii as a symbol of welcome or farewell.

The caption read, “Flower power and all that aloha.”

“Hawaii has welcomed its hometown hero @wtongi!”

Viewers and judges seemed poised to name Iam the “true winner” of the show.

Lionel reportedly snubbed his fellow judges when he shared a promotional image of his upcoming performance.

The concert is titled Lionel Richie and Friends: Dancing on the Sand.

The star-studded weekend includes performances by Sheryl Crow, Nile Rogers and Chic.
