Mac slammed the Idol judge in a lengthy statement she posted Monday under an Instagram photo of her posing as an Elastigirl.

He claimed Wé “idolized” Katy for years and accused the Firework singer of “devastating” his daughter while criticizing her performance on the show.

Mac wrote, “A few years ago, a stunning teenager was at Chaplin Studios to make an Apple recording for her time on The Voice as the youngest minor finalist this year.”

“She still had stars in her eyes as she got excited about living a dream around people she only dreamed about.

“When she was done, she rushed out of her long recording session screaming, ‘Dad, have you seen her?’ I said who she said was Katy Perry.

“I was amazed that I didn’t realize that the lady dressed in all black with a small dog who briefly stood by my side was actually one of my daughter’s icons.

“This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see someone up close and personal who had attained tremendous fame. My daughter was extremely excited and it made her day worthwhile.”

Mac continued, “As fate would have it, this stunning teenager met her as a young adult on the American Idol stage.”

“The young girl named Wé McDonald, now known as Wé Ani, stood before someone she once idolized and angered her with an undeservedly scathing reaction, deriving criticism of her show performance.

“It was a stab in the heart of a respected star who was concerned about Katy’s subsequent reactions to her appearances on American Idol.”

MAC CLIMBS BACK

He concluded, “The star designation dates back to a regular bully who attacked Wé Ani as a child.”

“No acknowledgment or apology, just a collar slap and a pat on the back. Remember, lesson learned. See you at the Grammys.”

Mac didn’t make clear what comments Katy had made that upset his daughter.

However, late last month, Katy was held accountable for her “rude” behavior towards Wé.

The singer was criticized for looking shocked when Wé was voted last in the top 12 and for not giving her any feedback after her performance.

New Jersey singer Wé was selected from Dawson Wayne, Elijah McCormick and Malik Heard, joining the 12 candidates who made it through to the next round.

‘BAD BEHAVIOUR

The camera panned to Katy at the judges’ table, who looked shocked at the news.

Wé then performed Adele’s song “Skyfall” to round off the show.

Rather than provide feedback on her performance, Katy revealed that she was “shocked” by the voting results and urged viewers to vote for their favourite.

Wé retired from Idol last Sunday along with Zachariah Smith.

Colin Stough, Megan Danielle and Iam Tongi all made it to the Idol finale, which airs Sunday.

Angry viewers claimed Wé was “robbed” of a spot in the top three and claimed the show was “rigged”.

One tweeted: “This show is rigged. We Ani should definitely be the winner of this season.”

Another added: “We Ani is the best singer on American Idol. She is Whitney Houston of this generation. You can’t compare them to Colin or Iam. American Idol is rigged.”

Fans have been supporting the powerful singer since the start of this season of the ABC singing competition.
