AMERICAN Idol fans have called a “wrong” and “distracting” detail about the show.
Viewers criticized the “loud” live audience, claiming it “ruined” the experience of watching the show by drowning out host Ryan Seacrest and the judges.
One fan wrote on Reddit: “I hate the audience on American Idol. I hate seeing them and I hate hearing them.”
“I know they’re probably going to react to crowd wranglers, but it just ruins the whole thing for me.”
Another added: “You nailed it. The hand waving gets so annoying I can’t bring myself to ignore it.”
“I hate it with an unreasonable passion. It’s just so fake and distracting. And they interrupt at the wrong time. And their herd mentality.”
“For example, I like Iam, but they’re not doing him any favors. They tend to annoy TV audiences.”
A third ranted: “There was a point in the past episode where I couldn’t hear anything Ryan was saying because the crowd was so loud.”
“I don’t think that should ever happen.”
Live audiences have certainly expressed their feelings in recent episodes of the singing competition.

“Listen, I guess I personally don’t want to see just a single piece of glitter from you next time. I know it’s going to be difficult.”
The audience booed Katy, prompting Luke to stand up and yell, “Yes! Yes! Katy was booed!”
