American Idol fans call Katy Perry’s repeated mistake after she was spotted looking ‘lost’ in an ’embarrassing’ new video
AMERICAN Idol’s Katy Perry has been mocked by fans for an ’embarrassing’ mistake she made in a new video.
The incident happened at the start of last week’s live show, when Katy took the stage with fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

In a clip re-shared by a fan, host Ryan Seacrest introduced the judges to the packed audience.
As the room erupted in cheers, they waved to the crowd as they took their seats in the center of the venue.
However, Katy, 38, went off course and began greeting fans from across the room, while Lionel, 73, and Luke, 46, stayed close to their seats.
Ryan, 48, ended up accompanying Katy to her co-stars as the singer looked a little confused about how to navigate the stage.
“You aroused her so much; Katy actually got lost and went in the wrong direction,” Ryan joked to the audience.
The judges laughed at the Fireworks singer’s mishap and Katy humorously attempted to explain her mistake.
“I thought I was going to the Met [Gala]!” she said sarcastically, referring to the star-studded fashion event that took place in New York City on Monday.
Katy was noticeably absent from fashion’s biggest night, and made several jokes about not attending the event on social media.

However, American Idol viewers didn’t find Katy’s mistake during the show amusing and said so online.
The original poster mocked the TV star Twitterwrites: “If @katyperry has one thing, it’s that she will always get lost on her way to her seat…”
Many others agreed, while some thought the performer was acting “silly.”
Katy and Lionel will not appear on Sunday night’s live show as they have flown to London to perform at the coronation of King Charles III this weekend.
Instead, Alanis Morrisette and Ed Sheeran will join Luke on the judging panel.

But it appeared Katy had played similar antics overseas as cameras caught the star once again struggling to find her place at the ceremony.
Her outfit could have been the culprit, as she was wearing a large mesh hat that seemed to block her view.
She paired the headpiece with a stunning pink ensemble featuring a skin-tight skirt that was cut at the knees.
After Katy was mocked online tweeted out a snappy answer.
The Eye of the Tiger singer tweeted, “Don’t worry guys I’ve found my spot.”

A video of the awkward moment showed Katy stumbling through the church asking guests, “Is this seat free?”
On Twitter, users were stumped by their confusion.
“Lol. Just find a seat!” One person demanded, while another tweeted, “How embarrassing.”
A third referenced one of Katy’s songs: “Alexa, play Lost by Katy Perry.”
Others blamed her flashy outfit for the problem.
A viewer wrote on Twitter: “She can’t see over her frigging hat.”
While another added, “Exactly…blind spot galore.”
Katy also appeared to have difficulty walking in her white heels, as other footage showed her stumbling.
On one occasion, she had to hold on to someone nearby for balance.
