An “unruly” passenger became disruptive as they tried to open the cockpit and the plane’s doors.

Tourists and flight attendants tried to restrain the disruptive passenger before a flight attendant allegedly hit the man with a coffee pot.

Passenger Mouaz Mustafa told Fox News Digital: “When everyone was trying to subdue him and everything, the same flight attendant ran back and got a coffee pot, walked up to the front and started hitting him, like in the head.”

Moustafa feared he would die when the jet landed “quickly” within minutes.

Another passenger called the incident “Very scary” and said that the lights in the plane suddenly came on when “several men got up to rush into first class.”

Karen Alston, who sat in the 17th row, told Daily Beast: “When people started to stand up, I knew something was wrong.”

Jake Smith, said he was getting up to go to the bathroom when he saw a flight attendant “full speed down the aisle. ”

He said the manager shouted to turn on the lights before the jet made a sudden left turn and accelerated within minutes.

Witnesses were questioned after the plane landed and the passengers were arrested.

The man is being held for interference with the flight crew, according to Kansas City Department of Aviation spokesman Joe McBride.

American Airlines said in a statement: “We are grateful to our crew members, who are dedicated to the safety and care of our customers, and who handled the situation with care. highest level of skill and professionalism.

Affected passengers have been booked on another flight.
