Amazon Prime Shows ‘Wild’ Animation of Brock Purdy’s Surgery as NFL Fans Gasp: ‘These Graphics Are Getting Out of Control’

NFL fans were stunned by an Amazon Prime animation showing the gruesome details behind Brock Purdy’s UCL surgery.
The 23-year-old San Francisco 49ers quarterback tore ligaments in his right elbow in the NFC Championship Game last season.
Purdy underwent surgery earlier this year and has since returned to solidify his role as the 49ers’ starter.
He led San Francisco to a 30-10 victory over the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football.
Before the game, TNF channel Amazon Prime aired an animation that showed exactly what surgeons did when they operated on Purdy in the offseason.
And NFL fans weren’t ready for the “intense” graphic that followed, showing a drill that went straight to the bone.

Amazon announcer Al Michaels appeared squeamish in the commentary booth, gasping: “I don’t know about you, but anatomical animations… I have to look out of the corner of my eye.”
A fan commented on X, formerly known as Twitter, after seeing it the clip: “These graphics are getting out of control.”
Another said: “I thought this was something wild.”
While a third added: “We’ve finally reached the highest football graphic. Nothing can beat that.”

And a fourth claimed: “They’re really going for an immersive experience.”
A fifth replied: “It’s a cartoon, calm down.”
Purdy threw for 310 yards and two touchdowns as the 49ers started the season 3-0.
As a starter, he remains undefeated in regular-season games since his NFL debut last fall.
Purdy was drafted with the last pick in the 2022 draft and fought against all odds to take over the leadership role for the 49ers.
San Francisco will next face the Arizona Cardinals on October 1st.
