Alpinista set to chase £6million payday in Japan as Sir Mark Prescott gives positive update
JAPANESE racing fans are getting ready to roll out the red carpet for their new pin-up girl.
Excitement is growing in the Far East as it appears Arc de Triomphe heroine Alpinista will be given the green light for a winning trip to Tokyo.

Japanese bettors are notoriously fanatical about the Geegees, treating the horses like royalty and jockeys like rock stars.

Her top filly, Alborada, traveled to Tokyo in 1999, but just days before the race, she was struck and disqualified.
Rausing, who was about to board a flight to Tokyo, famously described the blow as “subpar news.”
So Prescott will no doubt be doing his best to wrap up Alpinista ahead of the big race on November 27th.
He said: “Alpinista came out of the arc absolutely well, you hardly knew she was racing.
“I believe but there is no reason why the horse should not go as she came out of her race much better than her trainer.
“It’s a huge pot with a £3m bonus on top. The last call will be from Miss Rausing.”
Alpinista will likely be joined on the 18-hour flight by King George hero Pyledriver.
William Muir’s stable star also qualified for the big money bonus after bagging the Ascot feature back in July.
Alpinista is currently the 7-2 favorite for the Japan Cup with Coral, Pyledriver has a 10-1 chance.
