The So You Think You Can Dance alum reportedly died by suicide on December 13, 2022.

Stephen’s wife has issued a statement about her husband’s sudden death PERSONS.
“It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that my husband Stephen has left us,” the 34-year-old wrote.
“Stephen lit up every room he walked into. He valued family, friends and community above all and guidance with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father and an inspiration to his fans.”
“To say he left a legacy would be an understatement and his positive impact will continue to be felt,” she continued. “I’m sure not a day will go by that we don’t honor his memory. We ask for privacy at this difficult time for me and especially for our three children.”


She finished with a message for her husband, “Stephen we love you, we miss you and I will always save the last dance for you.”
On Wednesday, TMZ reported that the 40-year-old was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Stephen’s wife Alison walked into an LAPD station on Tuesday, sources told the outlet.
She was apparently distraught because he had left home without his car, which she thought was different from him.

Stephen, famous for his stage name “tWitch”, was a DJ, actor, television producer and TV personality.
In 2008, the multi-talented dancer and choreographer came second in So You Think You Can Dance.
In 2014, he joined The Ellen DeGeneres Show as a co-host and remained in that role until the end of the program in 2022.

On Monday, Stephen shared a role of his with his wife.
In the clip, the duo danced to Alicia Keys’ song December Back 2 June in her living room surrounded by Christmas decorations.
The couple looked over the moon to be together, leaving fans devastated as they rushed to the comments section to offer their condolences to the performer’s family.
“Heartbreaking!!!! Allison my heart goes out to you!!!!!” one raved.
“Sissssssster, my heart is broken. I’m sooooo sorry,” agreed a second.
A third noted: “RIP. I am shocked. You were such a light to this world!”
“Wow, I couldn’t believe the news. RIP. That’s so sad. Prayers for you all,” exclaimed a fourth.
“Bro is no way…rest in peace you are greatly missed,” commented a fifth.
“So sad to hear of your passing. My condolences to your family. RIP,” said another.
Stephen’s shocking death comes just days after he and Alison celebrated their nine-year wedding anniversary on Saturday.
He shared several photos from their wedding and captioned them “Happy Anniversary my love #9years” along with a bunch of heart emojis.
Stephen’s last post before his death was a cute video of him and Alison dancing in front of their Christmas tree at home on Sunday.


Stephen captioned it: “HOLIDAY SUNDAY FUNDAY DANCE !!! With my love.”
Stephen married Alison in 2013 and they have three children together: Weslie, 14; Maddox, six; and Zaia, three.
