Allegations Fenton shot dead man and his dog

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Charges have been filed against an accused Royal man shoot dead a 25-year-old man and his dog.

According to a spokesperson for the St. Louis, the shooting occurred around 3:25 p.m. on Sunday, January 16, at the 600 block of Greenhurst Courthouse.

Deputies found Austin Vines, 25, and a dog with gunshot wounds. Vines was taken to hospital but died of his injuries the next morning. The dog later also died.

Prosecutors allege Tony Hager and others went to the residence on Greenhurst Courthouse to confront occupants about an ongoing disagreement. At some point, Hager pulled out a gun and shot Vines and the dog.

Hager, 22, was arrested in Ozark County, where he is being held on a $250,000 cash-only bond.

St. District Attorney’s Office Louis charged Hager with second-degree murder and armed criminal act.
