All the songs of the Netflix comedy

Metal Lords finally premiered on Netflix, and the new Netflix original comedy will be one of the most notable coming-of-age films to be released on the streaming service this month.

It Star Jaeden Martell takes the lead in the Metal Lords, accompanied by newcomer Adrian Greensmith, who plays die-hard metal fan Hunter, Martell’s best friend Kevin. Together, they plan to form a hair-splitting death metal band, compete in the Battle of the Bands, and find newfound popularity, worshiped as death metal gods.

But finding a third member of their band won’t be easy. Could their talented classmate and cellist Emily (Isis Hainsworth) be the person they’ve been looking for all along?

The Metal Lords soundtrack

Given the premise, it shouldn’t come as a surprise Metal Lords has a rocking soundtrack with classic tunes from bands like Metallica, Judas Priest and more.

Here are all the songs included in it Metal Lords

  • “The Trooper” by Iron Maiden
  • “Painkillers” by Judas Priest
  • Black Sabbath’s War Pigs
  • “Hail to the King” by Avenged Sevenfold
  • “For Whom the Bell Tolls” by Metallica
  • “Blood and Thunder” by Mastodon
  • “Dee” by Ozzy Osbourne
  • “Trust No One” by Zeal & Ardor
  • “Since I Don’t Have You” by Guns N’ Roses
  • “Grinder” by Judas Priest
  • Metallica’s Whiplash
  • “I’m Broke” by Pantera

One of the best musical moments is the car chase at the beginning of the film as Kevin and Hunter try to escape their bullies to the tune of Judas Priest’s Painkiller. Later we hear “War Pigs” while Kevin practices drums and Emily researches death metal.

Metallica’s “Whiplash” plays as Kevin fetches Hunter out of the spa, and Emily gets a fantastic slow-motion entry into the Battle of the Bands, set to the tune of Pantera’s “I’m Broken.”

Metal Lords also includes some original songs and instrumentals written for the film, most notably the song “Machinery of Torment” performed by Skullflower at the Battle of the Band. Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello (and one of the film’s executive producers) composed the song.

Metal Lords is currently streaming on Netflix.
