The tale didn’t last long after a source close to the couple told The Sun they had decided to split.

The source said: “Douglas had a crush on Alisha. When she arrived he said: ‘Who is this girl?’.

“He quickly asked her out and they became a footballing power couple. They were so in love.

“But unfortunately, as Alisha became more in demand off the field, cracks in their relationship began to appear.
