Alfie Steele, 9, yelled “let me in” after being “locked out of the house” as footage shows the moment my mum’s boyfriend was arrested

In haunting footage filmed in a bath 18 months before his dead death, a court was told, a SCHOOLBOY was heard screaming begging to be let in.
Alfie Steele’s mother Carla Scott, 35, and her partner Dirk Howell, 41, are on trial at Coventry Crown Court over the child abuse of the nine-year-old boy Death.
Alfie died in February 2021 from over 50 different injuries
A disturbing one-minute clip, filmed in August 2019, captures Alfie’s piercing screams and ends with him repeatedly shouting, “Let me in, let me in.”
A neighbor told the court that he had been locked out of the house and only allowed back in after half an hour.
Separate footage also shows the moment Howell was arrested trying to board a train at Droitwich station minutes after Alfie’s death.
In video released by the CPS, Howell can be seen running across the bridge over the train tracks before attempting to board a stationary train.
However, when confronted by officers at 3:33 p.m. on February 18, 2021, Howell found the doors were already locked and the train was moving.
A police officer asks him, “What’s your name, mate?” before Howell replies, “Dirk Howell, why?”
The officer says, “I need to talk to you for a minute… well put your hands up for me because right now you’re in custody on suspicion of attempted murder.”
In police body camera footage shown to the court, Howell is heard saying, “You what?” after being informed of the arrest, adding, “I’m not running.”
After being handcuffed, Howell told officers he had done nothing wrong and that it was “disgraceful” to have been accused.
Howell went on to ask if Alfie was okay, to which an officer replied he “really didn’t know”.
Coventry Crown Court heard Scott called 999 just before 2.30pm and asked for an ambulance to say Alfie had fallen asleep in the bath and was not breathing.
Scott initially denied that Howell had been at the home, but later changed her allegations and admitted that Howell had been there.
It is alleged that Alfie was beaten with belts and flip-flops, “dubbed” in cold water baths and forced to stand outside to be doused with water.
Footage released this week showed Alfie screaming “let me in” after being locked out of his home.
A neighbor who filmed the video said he was locked out of the house for 18 months and only allowed back in for half an hour before he was found dead.
Howell from Newtown, Birminghamhas previously admitted child cruelty to others Children however, denies murder, manslaughter, cruelty, or causing or allowing Alfie’s death.
Scott denies murder, manslaughter, causing or allowing Alfie’s death, and child cruelty against Alfie and other children.

The process goes on.
