Alexander Volkanovski reveals how he reacted after Max Holloway withdrew from the three part fight

Alexander Volkanovski said he was disappointed after Max Holloway pulled out of their three-part fight at UFC 272.

Holloway was forced to withdraw after the injury worsened. After two decisive losses to Volkanovski, the 30-year-old beat Calvin Kattar and Yair Rodriguez for another crack at 145 lbs of gold.

In a recent appearance on The Time MMA, product City Kickboxing admits that he is looking forward to ending his rivalry with Holloway:

“I’m disappointed… I’m really looking forward to that battle. I’m really… I’m ready to go to camp and start everything. And end that chapter and all that. But everyone is say, like ‘Phuc said, “How is it?” Unfortunately. It’s a big fight. A lot of people want to see it. But what are you going to do? That will have to wait until later. So , we’ll see what happens.”

Volkanovski also reiterated his desire to stay active and fight as much as possible:

“I made that clear right after my game. I wanted to fight often. Even the battle in March was later than I wanted. I wanted to get some defense. I wanted to fight. as much as we can this year, so definitely get whoever we can in March [pay-per-view]. “

Alexander Volkanovski replied to Giga Chikadze

Giga Chikadze thinks Alexander Volkanovski is overcoming tough fights in the featherweight division. This comes after the Australian star agreed to defend the title against Chan Sung Jung as a replacement for the injured Max Holloway. Volkanovski will face the Korean star at UFC 273 instead of UFC 272.

Australians, however, return fire at Chikadze during his appearance on Time MMA and talk:

“You know, the people he was calling, were like acting like he was surprised that I was fighting ‘Zombies’. These guys are ranked higher than him. We will be ranked higher than him even if he wins. It just makes no sense. Every time you choose someone, they will try and say that you are scared and ignorant. Look at the people I fought with. Look at the people I fought with. And you’re a complete idiot if you think I dodge skirmishes. “

Alexander Volkanovski brought up the fact that he had agreed to defend the title against the powerful Max Holloway, despite having beaten the Waianae native twice. He emphasizes his belief in his skills and he doesn’t run away from anyone.
