Alec Baldwin Makes Disturbing Statement After Disclaimer Of Shooting

Via ABC News, George Stephanopoulos asked Alec Baldwin if he felt any guilt about Halyna Hutchins’ death. Baldwin replied in the interview that he doesn’t feel personally responsible for the fact it was an accident, saying, “I could have killed myself if I thought I was responsible and I didn’t. say it lightly.” The response came after Baldwin recounted what happened on the set of “Rust” and the moments leading up to the prop shot. Baldwin also explained that he didn’t pull the prop trigger but instead controlled the hammer after allegedly getting consent from Hutchins during some rehearsal footage. That’s when the gun suddenly discharges bullets.

Assistant Director David Halls of “Rust” supported Baldwin’s claim at least technically not pulling the trigger for prop, as his attorney Lisa Torraco noted. Though he says he doesn’t feel personally guilty about the accident, Baldwin says it still affects him personally to a large extent. The actor noted in the interview that he is still dreaming about the shooting day. It also raises the question of whether or not the actor will continue to work in Hollywood, as he seems to have made it clear that he’s not even thinking about his career.
