Aldi shoppers are shocked to smell £1.69 Christmas candles

ALDI has released its new series of Christmas Candles – but some shoppers were left with less of an impression.
The supermarket giant unveiled four festive scents last Thursday for the bargain price of £1.69 each.
They shared new creations on Facebook, including Pigs in Blankets, Turkeys and Stuffed, Mince Pie and Christmas Pudding with Brandy Butter.
They wrote: “Honestly, who doesn’t love a Turkish and Stuffed Candle?! In the Thursday Store!”
However, the news did not go down well with some users wincing at the special seasonal scents.
One user wrote: “I love Aldi but these candles are an inevitability for me. Cooking and food often smell in your home.”
Another said. “What’s the next full English candle?”
While a third quipped: “I guess we should be grateful that none of the candles sprouted.”
Meanwhile, others are so pressured by the new range that they question whether the candle is right for them.
One person replied: “Is this real?”
While a second concludes: “The novelty candles are not for me.”
Earlier this month, we revealed that Aldi has launched superzised Candles inspired by Jo Malone for Christmas for a whopping £305 less than the original price.
Their imitation 2.5kg candle is the next best, and prices start at just £24.99 – £300 less than the premium version.
Of them Storm candle burn for 270 hours, so they are ideal to see you through the winter.
Scents include the popular Lime, Basil & Mandarin, plus three others including Velvety Rose.
Aldi also sells the cheaper Jo Malone as a super large selection with four wicks.
