Aldi is now selling Apple AirPods for just £99 in a shockingly rare deal

The original Apple AirPods launched in December 2016 and were ridiculed by many at the time.

But since then they have become a popular and fashionable gadget that has made wireless headphones widely available.

The original model was discontinued and the Apple AirPods 2 were launched in March 2019.

Now UK retailer Aldi is offering the AirPods 2 for £99.99.

They normally retailed at £110 – and £159 when they were launched in 2019.

These AirPods have the typical headphone design that we all know.

They are completely wireless and have a comfortable fit for most ears.

You can control playback (and even your phone) using built-in Siri functionality.

There are tap functions on the sides of the earbuds, allowing you to play or skip songs or answer a call.

You get up to five hours of music playback per charge—or three hours of talk time.

And with the included charging case, you can charge the earbuds on the go.

Optical sensors built into the earbuds tell the AirPods when they’re in your ear.

This allows them to automatically pause music playback when you pull out a bud for a quick chat.

The AirPods are compatible with all iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac models running the latest operating system version.
