CHICAGO – A Chicago street vendor was taken to the hospital after collapsing during a meeting Wednesday.
Around 1:34 p.m., Elderly Carrie Austin of the Ward collapsed.
A short time later, she was reported sober, according to others at the meeting.
Austin was taken to the hospital and the meeting resumed. She was alert and talked before leaving.
No other information has been provided.
Earlier in the meeting, the council voted approved both sports betting at Chicago stadiums and a $2.9 settlement on the Anjanette Young case.
