MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian authorities stated on Saturday that 26 folks had died from alcohol poisoning this week after consuming locally-produced spirits within the Orenburg area bordering Kazakhstan.
The demise toll rose from 9 reported on Thursday, the regional ministry instructed RIA news company.
One other 28 individuals are struggling alcohol poisoning signs, it stated.
The regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a probe to find out whether or not alcohol merchandise offered within the area, some 1,500 kilometres (900 miles) southeast of Moscow, meet security requirements.
