AJAX coach Erik ten Hag has denied claims he is improving his English before moving to Manchester United.
The manager, 52, has been closely linked with a move to United over the past few months.
In fact, he is one of the favorites to take over alongside Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Reports say the Dutchman has been practicing his English in preparation for negotiations with United.
But he denies those offers, pointing out that English has always been used at Ajax due to the number of foreign players at the club.
Ten Hag told BT Sport: “No, that’s not true. We speak English in the club because we have a lot of foreign players.
“In the Netherlands [they’re] well educated in English. “
Ten Hag will have to show more than his good command of English in any potential interview for a management position.
And after being knocked out of the Champions League last 16 by Benfica – whose team lost 0-1 at home – his win at United came as a huge blow.
Pochettino was of course knocked out of Europe at the same dramatic stage against Real Madrid, but he did take Tottenham to the final in 2019.

And with United losing to Atletico Madrid it is clear that there is a lot for the new man to fix.
Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes have told club leaders to hire a manager who will not accept excuses and let the players get away with murder as they have done for the past three years.
