AirPlay iOS code found for Tesla vehicles

The electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla could integrate AirPlay into its car models.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk previously hinted that the brand could support AirPlay. On Twitter, an account called “Tesla App Updates (iOS)” states that its iPhone app contains some codes that refer to the streaming function. There is currently no AirPlay support announcement, but a publicly released app version suggests that the feature may be available in the future.

With AirPlay, Tesla owners can stream audio from their iPhones directly to the Tesla infotainment system. In theory, this allows Apple Music to be streamed to the car speakers instead of waiting for a native app to arrive in the Tesla systems. It’s worth noting that Tesla is one of the few to stubbornly reject CarPlay technology. Similar companies include GM, which is looking to ditch Android Auto and CarPlay in favor of its own integrated infotainment platform.
