HARRISBURG (KDKA) – A concerted effort between local police and the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office, Josh Shapiro, ended with the arrest and seizure of more than $1 million in fentanyl in Braddock.

Domonique Taylor was taken into custody and the execution of a search warrant on his property found guns, $1.4 million worth of fentanyl, and more than half a million dollars in cash.
“This is the largest fentanyl and gun-related bust in western Pennsylvania in recent memory,” Shapiro told KDKA’s Andy Sheehan. “Seven hundred thousand doses of the lethal and illegal drug fentanyl, he is trying to hit our streets. We have captured that.”
In total, 14 kg of fentanyl, 1 kg of cocaine, marijuana, six vehicles, six guns and $554,738 were seized by law enforcement.
According to the criminal affidavit, agents monitored Taylor for a time, observing him at his home on Moody Street and another home he owned on Camp Avenue, where they said they observed him stashing bags of duffel filled with drugs in a garage. But Shapiro wouldn’t say whether he acted alone.

“What I will say at this point is that our investigation is very active and ongoing,” Shapiro said. “Although we have arrested this defendant, the senior drug dealer in the community, we are not done yet.”
Taylor was convicted of a felony, so possession of six firearms is an offence.
Shapiro calls him a death merchant for his large distribution of the deadly drug Fentanyl.
“We know we saved lives. he said.
Shapiro added that the importance of getting fentanyl off the streets cannot be underestimated.
“When you look at the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, we’re losing 14 people a day to overdoses and nearly everyone is being attributed to fentanyl. It’s much stronger than heroin and it kills too many people.”
