Aftermath, a new psychological thriller, announced for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X

Italian developer One O One Games and publisher META announced Consequence, a new narrative-driven psychological thriller in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X using the Unreal Engine.

Players will take on the role of a former European astronaut Charlie Grey, who is desperately searching a ravaged planet to find his daughter in…consequence of something terrible. The extent of that catastrophic event is hinted at in the movie trailer, which you can watch at the top of this page.

Despite the crafting and (of course) combat, Aftermath intends to double down on the story. One O One CEO David Gallo said that Aftermath “aims to tell a grown-up story through survival mechanics, a mechanic that’s a far cry from the standard wild setting these games use.” We’re happy to expose people to the strange world we’re creating and the characters that live in it!”

You can get an early look at what the team is up to, audio and visual, in the screenshot above and the concept art below.

No release date or window has been set for Aftermath yet, but the developer and publisher promise regular updates on its progress throughout 2022. You can list this on Steam.
