After Gisele’s divorce, Tom Brady talks about the difficult work-life balance and says: “We do our best.”

NFL legend Tom Brady has opened up following his ‘amicable’ divorce from Gisele Bundchen.

The seven-time Super Bowl winner, 45, announced last month that he was splitting from his wife of 13.

Brady and Bundchen have reportedly had marital troubles since his decision to alter his retirement from the NFL earlier this year.

Brazilian model Gisele, 42, has been living in Miami with the couple’s two children since the summer.

The couple released a joint statement about their “difficult decision” to split after “much deliberation.”

And now Brady has revealed how difficult it was for him to balance his home and hectic NFL work life.

Speaking on his Let’s Go! podcast, he said: “There are many professionals in life who go through things that they deal with at work and at home.

“The good news is, of course [the divorce is a] very friendly situation and I am really focused on two things – taking care of my family and certainly my kids and secondly doing my best job to win soccer games.

“That’s what professionals do. You focus on work when it’s time to work, and when you get home you focus on home priorities.

“All you can do is the best you can do. I will continue to do so as long as I work and am a father.”

Brady has struggled on the field in recent games and his decision to return to the NFL has come under scrutiny.

He was recently spotted publicly lying in an uncharacteristic sideline meltdown on his offensive line.

Brady wanted to remind fans that players are human too – and they need to remember that “we are all human”.

The GOAT continued, “I’ve dealt with a lot of challenging situations on and off the field in 23 years, and a lot of it plays out in front of a lot of people.

“I think the interesting thing about a football player and an athlete in general is that you’re out there. I always say we’re not actors, even though we’re on TV. This is our true selves out there.

“We try to do our best. That’s how people have come to know me through television over the years and that’s my authentic self out there competing with my teammates every day and you give everything you can to the team.

“Everyone goes through different things. We all have our unique challenges in life.

“We are all human. We give our best.”

The GOAT completed 26 of 46 pass attempts for 325 yards and a touchdown as the Bucs went down 22-27 to the Baltimore Ravens Thursday night.

Brady will look to end his team’s recent slump when Tampa takes on reigning Super Bowl champion LA Rams on Sunday.
