Adele was caught storming out of the Grammy Awards during Harry Styles’ speech after losing Album of the Year
ADELE was caught on camera apparently storming out of the Grammy Awards during Harry Styles’ acceptance speech.
34-year-old Adele took on Harry in the prestigious Album of the Year category and was nominated for her record 30 in 2021, but this time she didn’t triumph.
However, 29-year-old Harry received the award for his 2022 album Harry’s House.
Taking the stage in a silver glittery top and an oversized white blazer, the former One Direction star seemed genuinely shocked.
Holding his award, he told the star-studded crowd, “Man…um…I was so, so inspired by every artist in that category with me.”
At that point, the camera panned to one Adele’s mother, who was seen storming out as fellow singer Lizzo laughed at her.
Harry continued: “At many different times in my life I’ve listened to everyone in that category when I’m alone and I think on nights like tonight it’s obviously so important that we remember it’s for the best not exist in music.
“I don’t think any of us sit in the studio and think and make decisions based on what something like this is going to bring us.
“That’s really, really nice, I’m so, so grateful. I’ll pass it along to my staff who… I’m just like that… it doesn’t happen very often to people like me and it’s so, so nice, thank you,” Harry added.
Towards the end of the speech, Adele was caught smiling and nodding, proving that the result may not have bad feelings.
But fans and music lovers were divided when it came to the outcome and Adele’s behavior didn’t go unnoticed.
“Bruh did you see the camera cut as Adele walked away like ‘fuck this sh*t’,” one person tweeted.
“I’m really so proud of him and that was such a well deserved congratulations Harry,” another person posted.
Someone else disagreed, writing: “As much as I love Harry, Adele released a great album last year and deserves this award.”
Other nominees in the category included Coldplay, Beyoncé and ABBA.
BEY’S BIG NIGHT
However, for mother-of-three Beyoncé, it clearly wasn’t a big deal missing out on the award, as she ended up winning the awards for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album and Best Dance/Electronic Recording for her track Break My Soul.
The 41-year-old looked incredible in a metallic strapless dress and long black gloves as she fought back tears during one of her speeches.
“Thanks very much. I’m trying not to get too emotional, I’m trying to just embrace this night…” she began.
“I want to thank God for protecting me, thank God. I want to thank my Uncle Johnny who is not here but he is here in spirit. I want to thank my parents, my father, my mother for loving and pushing me.
“I want to thank my beautiful husband and beautiful three children who are watching at home. I want to thank the queer community for their love and for inventing this genre.
“God bless you, thank you so much to the Grammys, thank you,” she concluded as the audience applauded her.
One person who was happy for Beyoncé was Today host Al Roker.
Al, 68, and his wife Deborah Roberts showed off their dancing skills on social media in honor of the music icon.
The pair posted their moves in a clip on Instagram shortly after Beyoncé set the record for most Grammy Awards wins of all time, according to Variety.
