Adebayo Akinfenwa speaks out about vile fan abuse during Wycombe v MK Dons clash and asks authorities to ‘smash it’

ADEBAYO AKINFENWA tore apart fans sarcastically targeting the vile abuse directed at him during Wycombe’s clash with MK Dons.
Wycombe striker angry against a group of away supporters after being hurled insults at Adams Park on Saturday.
And speaking after witnessing his team’s 0-1 defeat, he called on authorities to do more to prevent abuse.
He say: “I might joke, I’m all for fun.
“But there are kids here – where does this come from? The reason I went there… was for people who couldn’t carry this on their shoulders.
“What I want to happen now is for this to be done in its infancy.
“It’s not a trend, it’s not funny. The sutras they are saying — there are no strings attached.
“Some people will be like ‘oh that’s a joke’ – if you know me, you know I can joke. That’s not a joke.
“Whatever the authorities need to do, close it and we’ll keep moving forward.”
Wycombe gaffer Gareth Ainsworth was spotted begging traveling fans to stop singing insulting hymns during the League One clash.
The official MK Dons account has been tracking Ainsworth’s lawsuit, urging supporters not to engage in insulting chants.
And Wycombe even posted a message on the big screen urging all supporters present not to partake in the insulting chanting.
The Buckinghamshire derby was fierce in the 13th minute when Scott Twine scored to help the visitors score the only goal of the match.
