Adam Project 2 Release Update: Will a Sequel Happen?

Project Adam landed on Netflix on March 11, and the time-traveling sci-fi series is well on its way to becoming one of the best Netflix movies of the year 2022.

Ryan Reynolds stars as the title character in Project Adam as a time traveler who finds himself traveling back in time from the year 2050 to team up with his youthful self, due to Walker Scobell. The film also stars Jennifer Garner, Zoe Saldaña, Mark Ruffaloand Catherine Keener.

The exciting sci-fi drama from director Shawn Levy, who among others executive produces the hit Netflix series Strange things. It’s no wonder why the adventure movie has so much action and so many emotional layers that pull us all in.

But after that dramatic ending, most viewers can’t help but wonder which blockbuster will be followed by Project Adam 2. We’re all in love with the new Netflix movie sequel, here’s what we know so far about the movie’s future.

Will there be a sequel to Project Adam?

Based on the ending of the movie, it seems not Project Adam There will be a second part. The film wraps up the story neatly and answers our lingering questions. Also, there are no post-credits scenes teasing the next chapter.

There is always the possibility to return to this world and unfold more stories around Adam and his past, present and future. Never Say Never seems to be the name of the game when it comes to sequels these days, though this time it’s not immediately obvious.

Of course, Ryan Reynolds is certainly no stranger to sequels. Most recently, Reynolds starred in Deadpool and its sequel, and his 2021 movie Free boy (also directed by Levy) has a sequel in the work. Furthermore, Reynolds will also appear in two Netflix sequels Red Notice.

Reynolds seems to be a bit busy with his latest sequel right now, so if you want Project Adam, it will probably be a while. Whether it’s a one-off indie film or the start of a new series in some form or another, it’s still a must-see.
