In September 2022, multiple direct messages from Adam Levine to Sumner Stroh went viral on social media.

In exchange, Adam reportedly wrote to Sumner, “It’s really unreal how freaking hot you are. As if it would blow my mind.

“I have to scratch one out. Then my head is clear. I think about it often when you took me to this place where I would literally stare and drool and do whatever you told me to.

“You are 50 times hotter in person. And so am I, hahahah.”

He reportedly sent similar texts to other influencers including Maryka, Alyson Rosef and Alanna Zabel, which reportedly read, “I’m obsessed with you now.

“I might need to see the loot. How do you have such an hourglass figure?

The DMs continued reading: “Seeing your ass wiggle on that table will permanently scare me, but other than that I’m amazing.

“I would do anything for that. I would buy him a steak dinner and whisper sweet things into it.

“Holy shit. Holy shit, shit. Your body is absurd.”

Since the Instagram DMs of Sumner and the other influencers leaked, users across the internet have taken the thread of the messages to reuse them for their own memes.

Taking to Twitter, one user quipped, “I think we can all agree that ‘I might have to see the loot’ is something that we should take away from this Adam Levine scandal, it really is a gift and we need to put it into it.” the lexicon.

A second person posted a picture of Geoffrey Rush’s Pirates of the Caribbean character and mimicked Levine by tweeting, “I might have to see the loot.”

Another user tweeted: “If ever someone slipped into my DMS and said ‘Holy F**k. Holy F*****Gf**k. This body of yours is absurd’, a screenshot would immediately go online, so my friends and I could make fun of it.

What happened between Adam and Sumner?

The allegations began when online vlogger and influencer Sumner Stroh revealed on social media that she was allegedly in a romantic relationship with married singer Adam Levine.

On September 19, 2022, Sumner posted a clip of herself on her TikTok page, sharing her side of the story.

In the video, the influencer shows Instagram DMs between herself and Levine, claiming, “I was having an affair with a man who is married to a Victoria’s Secret model.

“I was young then, I was naïve, and I mean, honestly, I feel taken advantage of.

“I wasn’t in the scene like I am now, so I was definitely easy to manipulate.”

She added: “I never wanted to come forward because obviously I know the implications of doing what I do, making money like I do and being an Instagram model.

“I wanted to keep this private. I mean…my morals were unknowingly compromised. I was completely manipulated.”

The Maroon 5 frontman denied the affair rumors, replying on Instagram: “There’s a lot of talk about me right now and I want to clear the air.

“I used poor judgment when speaking to anyone other than my wife for ANY type of flirtation.

“I didn’t have an affair, but I crossed a line at an unfortunate time in my life.”
