PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Robert Bowers, the accused Tree of Life gunman, may go on trial in July 2022.
Federal prosecutors offered a decide a timeline that they need for the trial.
They’re looking for the demise penalty towards Bowers, who’s accused of killing 11 folks on the Tree of Life on Oct. 27, 2018, and wounding a number of cops.
The protection and federal prosecutors have been combating over what proof can be allowed at trial. Bowers’ defense is trying to keep the jury from listening to some anti-Semitic statements Bowers allegedly made that day.
Bowers faces federal hate crime prices, which carry the demise penalty, and his protection is making an attempt to maintain these statements out of courtroom.
