Many fans took part in a turf invasion to celebrate – something the Milan ultras seemed to resent.

After the invasion, when fans tried to leave the field, a group standing at the exit began brutally beating and beating passers-by.

The thugs could be seen beating their comrades with severe violence.

Some of those struck were hit completely unexpectedly as they attempted to celebrate their team’s crowning moment.

Italian ultras are known for their passion, but there have also been serious issues with violence and racism.

The incident overshadowed a period of high spirits for Milan supporters, who edged local rivals Inter by just two points for the title.

On-pitch invasions have also affected the English game in recent weeks, with various incidents across the country.

Billy Sharp was the victim of a headbutt from a Nottingham Forest fan after Forest beat Sheffield United on penalties to make it into the Championship Playoff Final.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa goalkeeper Robin Olsen was also “attacked” by fans as Manchester City won the league on Sunday.

Two fans have been charged with crowd disturbance after the Man City invasion, while Robert Biggs has been charged with actual assault after the Sharp incident.

The Sun today told how three off-duty police officers were caught on CCTV invading the pitch after Bournemouth secured promotion to the Premier League.

The spate of incidents has led SunSport columnist Piers Morgan to call for severe punishment for idiots who misbehave.
