FRANK LAMPARD showed great class after it was revealed he sent Boreham Wood boss Luke Garrard a touching text message.
The text came after the non-league side beat Bournemouth last month in preparation for a trip to Everton in the FA Cup fifth round.
Salomon Rondon’s two goals in the second half completed their fairytale run in the competition at Goodison Park last night.
But Sun Sport revealed ahead of the game that Garrard received the text from ex-Chelsea and England stars Lamps after the draw was made.
Now Garrard has revealed exactly why everton Manager said with his message out of the blue.
It read: “Hello Luke, Frank Lampard Here. I just wanted to congratulate you on the result yesterday.
“Purely on a coach-to-coach level I could see what it meant to you and that’s why we’re doing the job!
“Some achievements from you and the boys. You don’t normally touch each other like that before games but I just wanted to say that me and we as a club will make sure you all feel very welcome when you come to Goodison.

“Hopefully not too welcome when the game starts. I look forward to seeing you. Frank.”
However, ITV’s cameras were able to capture a small snippet of Garrard’s response on his phone screen as he showed the text.
It read: “Evening Frank, really appreciate the message, can’t thank you enough.
“It definitely meant a lot to me and the club, those moments are few and far between at our level.”
Everton now meet Crystal Palace in the quarter-finals after knocking out the brave Boreham Wood.
