ABC News exec breaks silence on TJ Holmes & Amy Robach ‘firing’ with scathing message about ‘distraction’ and replacement.
ABC informed the entire company on the decision to let go of Good Morning America, hosts TJ Holmes and Amy Robach.
According to TMZ, a company-wide email was sent Friday by ABC News president Kim Godwin notifying employees of the decision.

“I want to let you know that we’ve made a decision regarding TJ and Amy.”
The statement then includes the statement sent to the network about the decision to let the duo go.
“After several productive discussions with Amy Robach and TJ Holmes about various options, we all agreed that moving away from ABC News is best for everyone.
“We recognize their talent and dedication over the years and are grateful for their contributions.”
The statement continued, adding that a decision on who will co-anchor GMA3 and 20/20 will come later, while also calling the fiasco “a distraction for so many of us.”
“I want to thank you again for your patience and professionalism during this time.”
Until now, ABC had stayed away from public statements about the pair, and on-air substitutes would say they were just “filling in.”
The popular presenters have been missing from the show since November 2022, when their alleged affair was exposed and the two were temporarily put on hiatus.

According to TMZ, the decision to cut ties with Holmes and Robach was made on Thursday.
“There’s a lot of frustration on all sides that it could have been handled better,” a person familiar with the matter told CNN.
Robach and Holmes began collaborating at GMA in 2020.
The two reportedly began their romance last summer and have claimed they are already separated from their partners.
The two remain married to different people.
