Aaron Rodgers threatens to boycott Super Bowl LVI

Aaron Rodgers on the way home wednesday NFL MVP for his play this season. The Green Bay Packers is 13-3, owns the top spot in NFC and is a favorite of the Super Bowl, thanks to his play.

However, the main plot behind Rodgers all season was his comments about the COVID-19 vaccine. He himself is unvaccinated and has made numerous comments about him arguing that the NFL’s policies about testing are unnecessary.

So far, Rodgers has not taken any drastic stances. But can that change?

Former NFL quarterback and current analyst Boomer Esiason received an amusing text and shared it on his radio show. It all has to do with what would happen if Rodgers made the Super Bowl.

“Boom, the Rodgers story just keeps getting crazier and crazier. I’ve been told by many people in Aaron’s live circles that, if the Packers do a Super Bowl, he’ll use last week’s Super Bowl. He’s going to threaten the NFL by saying he won’t play in the big game or next season, if they don’t remove some of the rules related to COVID. What he’s most annoyed with is testing not only the symptomatic players. He tells Jordan Love to get ready. Like you said, he has to get to the finish line first, but the Super Bowl week will blow up and drive Goodell crazy. maniacally navigate the situation.”

Boomer Esiason received a text message from a trusted source stating that Aaron Rodgers would threaten to boycott the Super Bowl, if the Packers made it this far.#GoPackGo https://t.co/8ycIyJzqKN

Esiason claims this is a reputable source of his. So can this really happen?

Can Aaron Rodgers boycott the Super Bowl?

This is quite a bold claim and would be a worldwide story if true. Of course, the Packers need to hit the Super Bowl for this to happen. However, there are some key questions to be answered here.

First, how will his teammates react to being ostracized like that? Will the Packers be shuffled and Jordan Love be dropped, all for Rodgers to prove a point? Fans will likely also support Rodgers and there will be no word of him returning next season.

Really wish I could know if this is a real possibility. But the media landscape with Rodgers has turned into many false reports and exposed by Aaron himself…so who knows what to do with this. End of story. twitter.com/BackAftaThis/s…

This will also damage his legacy and only harm the NFL’s pursuit of even greater greatness. Yes, it could happen in theory. It’s hard to believe that a leader like Rodgers would do this after playing all season. Such a boycott could have occurred throughout the season if Rodgers had felt clear about the issue.

Or he may have been at home for weeks after being held back by a positive COVID test. This seems like an odd time to make a statement.

Rumors are always rampant in the sports world, and this is no different. But since it exists, it’s officially been a talking point as the big event of the NFL season approaches. Media members will no doubt ask Rodgers about this, and unless he categorically refuses, fans will start to worry.
