She began uploading the videos detailing her story on July 31, as she set about popularizing her then-boyfriend on social media.

But she did so in a rather unique way.

In each video, she held out a post-it to her boyfriend, posing in the background, detailing their romance.

She signed all of them with the hashtag “I know” to confirm that she knew about his infidelity.

The hashtag quickly caught on with viewers, who found out the boyfriend must have cheated while the couple was together.

In total, the friend uploaded eight videos, all with subtitles attached.

The first read: “I know you all want to hear the story of how I found out the day before I had to leave for a nine week holiday across Europe with my boyfriend who I knew was cheating on me.”

She goes on to explain how they first met through the popular dating app Bumble but lived in different states.

They eventually dated long distance for the first five months of their relationship before he confessed his love to her in the sixth month.

They went a step further and decided to move in together — but only after he took a six-week trip to Colombia with his boyfriend.

The TikToker explained that he apparently “had to” before admitting it was the “beginning of the end of our relationship.”

“I know the little things are important, but scammers often go above and beyond showing these little things in abundance because of the guilt they carry,” she continued.

“He really made me feel very loved and appreciated.”

But it turned out that her ex-partner’s boyfriend had planned the trip with the sole aim of helping him cheat on her.

She described this person as someone who knew “the dark side” of her boyfriend.

Though the woman doesn’t reveal how she found out, she said, “I know scammers always get caught no matter how hard they try to cover their tracks!”

And it was the day before her nine-week trip to Europe that she broke the truth about her boyfriend’s Colombian antics.

Understandably, she considered not making the trip even though she had already reimbursed her boyfriend for all expenses.

In the end, she decided to keep quiet about what she knew.

However, she confirmed in a video that racked up more than 376,000 views that she “would break up with him after this trip.”

In order not to arouse suspicions in her boyfriend, she told him that she planned to make a video montage of her trip.

As the journey ended, the TikToker revealed what happened next.

While she was returning to the US, her then-boyfriend decided to stay in Europe and visit other countries without her.

She added: “It wasn’t until I got home that I sent him the part I had done along with a very long message describing how I broke up with him.

“He ended up leaving me a 30-second audio message on Snapchat apologizing.”

Following the reveal, the woman’s TikTok account was inundated with messages of support from followers of her page.

“You are so mature and have handled this a million times better than I could have ever done. I’m so sorry and I hope he gets what’s coming,” said one fan.

Another commented: “It’s insane that there are people walking this earth who simply lack compassion or caring for others. Wow! I hope you are doing well and recovering from this.

A third said: “He’s gross and I’m convinced he was incredibly insecure and did it all for nothing.”
