A man lived a happy life for 10 years, then woke up and realized that he had dreamed everything

A man lived a happy life for 10 years, then woke up and realized. He dreamed everything. How can we really distinguish reality from our imagination? How do you know the life you are living is real, that your wife is really your wife or child? Is really alive, you can convince yourself that by no means is it not real, because you can feel it when you touch it and even have memories of it, but a man lived a whole 10 years and thought up to this day the same thing.
Something just didn’t feel right. He noticed something was wrong with his lamp and became fixated on it. Suddenly he was woken up and found himself on the ground with the last 10 years of his life completely wiped out. He still had the memories of his wife and children, but no proof that they ever existed. This is a true story.
The man who goes by the name Tempted to Soon on Reddit kept his name out of the story because he felt it was very personal. He described how he met a wonderful young lady about 10 years ago. She just made my heart skip a beat and my face blush. As is the case in all love stories, he tried to pursue her, but she always seemed attached to a friend who didn’t treat her well. I stalked her for months and sent a few jerk friends over before finally winning her over to the couple who dated for two years before they soon married in their marriage.
They gave birth to a little girl and his eternal happiness seemed more possible than ever. The man and his wife lived the life that many wish for because they were happy together. Your children were healthy. They were wealthy enough to be able to afford a nice house. I had a great job and my wife didn’t have to work outside the home.
When my daughter was two. My wife bore me a son. My son was the joy of my life and I would go into his room every morning before I went to work and do it to him and my daughter. The man watched his children grow up for ten years, he said. Good morning to them every day before he went to work he would feel their soft skin, hear their innocent laughter and watch them form their own identity.
Everything seemed fine, but as the saying goes, nothing good lasts forever. One day, in a seemingly brief moment, everything changed. While I was sitting on the couch I noticed that the perspective of the lamp was strange. Like vice versa, it was still in 3D but just wrong.
It was a square lamp base with red, gold trim on four legs in a white square shade that intrigued me. I couldn’t look away. The man couldn’t understand why he was so fixated on the lamp. He could have easily dismissed it and got on with his life, but he just couldn’t stop thinking about it. It was as if some kind of force of nature was pulling him there.
I stayed up all night and stared at it the next morning. I didn’t go to work. Something was wrong with this lamp. The fixation on the lamp grew worse and worse until it became a total obsession that took over the life of the man I stopped eating. I left the couch at first only to use the bathroom soon.
I stopped doing that too, since I wasn’t eating or drinking at that time, the man’s family began to worry about him and didn’t know how to help him. I stared at the lamb for three days before my wife got really worried. She had someone come over and try to talk to me. However, no amount of talking can break this man’s obsession with a lamp. It drew all of his attention and he felt like it was almost trying to send him a message.
But the woman couldn’t put up with that, just as the woman gave up and went to her mother with the children, everything clicked and the man finally understood. I had my revelation. The lamp is not real. The house is not real, my wife, my children. None of this is real.
The last 10 years of my life are not real. The realization was followed by deep pain, both emotionally and psychologically. The lab began to widen and deepen. It was still inverted. It took up my entire perspective and all I could see was red.
I heard voices, screams, all kinds of strange noises, and I became aware of pain, a lot of pain. The first words I said were that I’m missing teeth and opened my eyes. I was on my back and on the sidewalk surrounded by people I didn’t know many were freaking out. I was just so completely confused. The man woke up for the first time in 10 years.
It turns out the man was a senior in college, not even old enough to be married or have kids. He began to put the pieces of the puzzle together and discovered that he had sustained an injury from a complication involving a soccer player. The man weighed just 120 pounds while his opponent weighed 325 and left him unconscious on the ground. The life he led had been played out entirely in his head. The man couldn’t believe it himself as he lay unconscious on the ground.
I lived a different life for 10 years. Unfortunately, the reality was far worse than the parallel universe he had traveled to unconscious. He couldn’t even fully comprehend what was happening when he woke up again. Someday he will remember. A cop picked me up with mud, led me across the sidewalk and grass, and threw me face down in the back of a squad car, and I was still confused.
I was taken to the hospital by the police officer. Apparently he didn’t want to wait for the ambulance to arrive. The man suffered trying to come to terms with the fact that the life that had made him happy for so long wasn’t even real. He craved it and had no idea if he could ever actually recreate it. I went through about three years of horror and depression.
I mourned the loss of my wife and children and dealt with the knowledge that they never existed. I was afraid I would go insane because I would cry myself to sleep. Homie can’t see her in my dreams. One way to explain what happened to this man is the theory of parallel dimensions, or alternate reality, and it states that it is possible for a hypothetical existence to exist in a self-contained plane of existence that coexists with our own. The sum of all these potential parallel universes would combine to form the constructed reality of the multiverse.
This would perhaps add meaning to the visions the man continues to see. Sometimes I usually only get a glimpse of my son out of my peripheral vision, he’s always five years old and I can never hear what he’s saying. The existence of parallel worlds would also involve parallel versions of us. Scientists believe there could be a copy of all of us in a parallel world. That would be someone who is.
Just like you with the same thoughts and behavior. They would even look like you, but they will make their own choices that would lead them to other lives. A decision you made differently at one point can completely change your path and give you experiences you will never have. The theory also suggests that perhaps sleeping the dreams might give us glimpses into the lives of our parallel selves, something to think about now, perhaps for the better. We know ourselves better the better we can ensure that we are creating the life we hope for.
