A judge has sentenced a teacher to a year in prison for sexually abusing a teenager, but it’s what she has to do and the community’s opinion is divided

This woman, Jessica of Montgomery County, Ohio, is a former teacher convicted of sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy and three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
The judge releases her after 1 year in prison, but for this decision to take effect she has to do something and opinions in the community are divided as to whether this is the right decision.
Jessica, a 33-year-old teacher, was convicted of three counts of sexual molestation and three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. She spent a year at the Ohio Reformatory for Women.
After her release, the judge ordered the woman to register as a Level III sex offender. She must register her address with her local sheriff’s office every 90 days. She is forbidden to live within 300 meters of a school or kindergarten. She gave up her teaching license in Ohio for good.
She will also serve five years probation.
At her trial, one of her former students testified against Jessica, saying he was 14 when she had sex with him in her locked classroom.
He further testified that according to court records, she showed him sexually explicit photos.
In court, the victim’s father testified that his son had changed dramatically after the sexual assault.
Many people argue that she needs to spend much more time in prison while others say 1 year is enough and she gets what she deserves.
