On Monday, January 31st local news outlets declare an individual has been detained by law enforcement in connection with the shooting of Captain Vidal “Max” Fortune.

At the time of publication, the shooter was still unidentified and attacker’s name has not been made widely available to the media.

“When officers arrived, they identified someone they believed was responsible for this shooting,” said Joe Silva. CBS 13.

After the shooting, Vidal Fortune, 67, was taken to a hospital near the Stockton area, where he was pronounced dead.
