A fatal accident paralyzes Jefferson County Road 93 near Red Rocks

A fatal automobile accident near the entrance to Red Rocks Amphitheater disabled a section of Jefferson County Road 93 and one of the three entrances to the park Saturday night.

County Road 93 was closed between Interstate 70 and West Alameda Avenue, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet at 6:13 p.m.

Gate One on West Alameda Avenue was closed. Entrances two and three to the south remained open. Motorists were asked to avoid the area.

Zeds Dead, an electronic music duo, is the Saturday show at the amphitheater.
