A builder keeps parking on our drive and refuses to stop – I’m fuming & people all agree with my revenge ideas

One resident was furious because a local contractor kept parking in her driveway and refusing to stop.

The disgruntled homeowner took to social media to vent her anger at the selfish parking, while people responded that she should be charging a fee for using her car.

The contractor used the driveway without permission and apparently left his work car on the driveway without any explanation.

The title of the post is: “Builder Parking Revenge.”

They began the post by saying, “On Monday a car we didn’t recognize was parked in our driveway but we were out and busy so we didn’t think much about it and it was gone by four o’clock.”

“The car was back yesterday but we didn’t see the person parked so we had no idea who the owner was.

“I checked with our immediate neighbors and they have no idea.

“Around 4pm my husband was busy in the garage when the owner (a young man in overalls) came to the car.

“The husband said, ‘This is our drive.’ ‘You can’t park here,’ and he said, ‘Don’t worry, I’m leaving now’ and left.

But the man didn’t stop.

The Mumsnet user continued, “The car came back this morning.”

“Luckily, a neighbor saw that he was doing construction a few houses down from us, so I went to the house.

“The owners weren’t there so I stuck my head around their door and asked them to move it.

“He rolled his eyes, took ages to pack something up, and then put it in the street right next to our driveway (annoying, but whatever).”

The Mumsnet user asked others what to do about it.

“So my question is … if (I think this will happen) the same thing happens tomorrow, what should I do?

“My husband is driving today but won’t be driving tomorrow so I can lock him up when I get back from the kindergarten run.”

“A friend suggested putting nails in front of the tires, but that’s a bit much…”

“I know it’s petty, but if he does it again, I want revenge!”

Other Mumsnet users were quick to comment on the post.

One said: “Block him and if he wants to leave don’t open the door and don’t say your husband went out with the keys.”

“And talk to the neighbor who hired him about his shitty behavior.”

Another said: “Yes talk to the neighbor he does the work for.”

“Mind you, they may have suggested using your car since you’re usually out during the day.”
