A 14-year-old schoolgirl was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a bus in a village accident

A 14-year-old schoolgirl has been flown to hospital after being hit by a bus in a horrific accident.
The girl was brought to us in an ambulance southampton General hospital for treatment after serious injuries.
Your family has been informed.
The collision occurred on Wareham Road in Lytchett Matravers, Dorsetjust after 4 p.m.
Road closures were put in place as emergency services responded to the incident.
Dorset Police have urged any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
Traffic Unit Sergeant Mark Scammell said: “We are conducting a detailed investigation to determine the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch with us if you are still.” did not speak to the police.
“I’d also like to hear from anyone who has captured anything relevant on the dashcam.
“I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in effect.
“These were necessary for the emergency services to respond to the incident and conduct an investigation of the scene.”
